Kevin Zraly has studied winemaking techniques in all the major wine regions of the world and conducted wine classes for more than thirty years. He worked at the Windows on the World Restaurant from its opening in 1976 until September 11, 2001.
The founder and teacher of the immensely popular Windows on the World Wine School has graduated more than 18,000 students. The classes are now held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square. In addition, Zraly leads the Sherry Lehmann/Kevin Zraly Master Class and, together with Robert Parker, has created the Parker/Zraly Wine Certification Program.
He is the recipient of the European Wine Council's Lifetime Achievement Award, the James Beard Award as the Wine and Spirits Professional of the Year, and the Food and Beverage Association's Man of the Year Award; is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Culinary Institute of America; and has been featured in The New York Times, People magazine, The Wall Street Journal, GQ magazine, Newsweek, and USA Today, among others.
